I oppose the County Manager’s recommendation to increase our property tax rate. It is already high enough. Our Board has been able to increase its budget every year despite the economic recession while surrounding jurisdictions have pulled back. We should prioritize the family budget over the county coffers and look for ways to lower our tax rate.
